At MICHEL BRU Lab, we believe that flavor and nutrition should go hand in hand. Following the advice of our registered dietitian, we recently introduced natural spices into our school menus — to make meals both healthier and more exciting for students.

Recent news reported that several students and teachers in Taichung school became ill after eating delivered lunch boxes from an external vendor. This unfortunate event is a reminder that food safety in schools must never be taken for granted.

"At MICHEL BRU LAB., nutritional excellence is not an option — it’s a standard. All of our meals are designed in collaboration with Janet Malanga, a licensed and internationally experienced dietitian who ensures that each dish meets the highest standards of safety, balance, and well-being.
Janet Malanga brings with her a rigorous academic and professional background:
🇺🇸 Registered Dietitian (RD) licensed in the United States since 2019, currently practicing in Florida.
🏥 Completed over 1,300 clinical hours at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore.
🧪 Trained at Hong Kong Disneyland’s food laboratory, under the guidance of senior nutritionist Darlene Brady.
🌐 Serves as Country Representative (Taiwan) for the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND).
🗣️ Frequently invited as a speaker by institutions such as the American Club Taipei, Rotary Club Taipei, and Welcome to Taipei International Club.
Her key responsibilities at Michel Bru include:
Full approval of weekly menus and macronutrient profiles.
Supervision of ingredient sourcing, especially for school and corporate meals.
